Capturing Wildlife

So this year it has been less travelling abroad and more travelling around Sussex capturing the wildlife that is on offer, and there is lots of it... one place I have discovered which is great for bird photography is Millers Wood, a private woodland owned by John Stanton who has done a great deal of work on the site to enable visitors to get great images... these are just a few taken on my last couple of visits...

Other places include Woodsmill (Sussex Wildlife Trust), RSPB Pagham Harbour, Rye Harbour (Sussex Wildlife Trust), RSPB Dungeness, the South Downs Country Park and my home town of Shoreham by Sea where I can be found wandering along the riverbed when the tide is out...I am finding that I spend more time observing the wildlife before taking pictures, I am also learning to adjust settings on the camera with the aim of improving the quality of my images...whereas in the early days I just could not wait to get the shot, more often or not the quality was not as good as I would have liked whereas now I would prefer to get the right shot than a poor one, and some days that now means no images worth sharing....hopefully my latest work reflects the change in my approach... wigs 24/07/2017
